gift certificate terms

shipping

Sold items will be processed and shipped after payment clears. It takes us about 3-4 days to process your order.

The shipping price is calculated based on weight, size and location.
Orders are shipped via Canada Post first class mail.

transit times

These are approximate transit times. Occasionally it takes less or more time due to the traffic flow of the season:
Canadian destinations: 2-4 business days
US destinations: 7-9 business days
International destinations: 2-3 weeks.

insurance

The shipping rates listed for each item are for first class mail and do not include tracking or insurance. If you would like either on your order please contact me and I will give you a quote for this shipping rate. I am not responsible for lost items unless insurance is purchased by the customer.

expedited shipping

Transit times are usually about 7-9 business days for standard first class mail. If you would like your shipment expedited, send me an email and I will get you a quote on expedited shipping.

international buyers / buyers outside canada

Please note that international customers are responsible for any duties, brokerage fees and respective country/state taxes.

payments

All prices are quoted in US dollars. Canadian and overseas customers will be charged in US funds.

We accept payment through paypal. All major credit cards may be used through paypal without having to set up an account. If you need assistance using paypal please contact us.

taxes

Canadian customers will have GST added to their orders. Customers who live in harmonized sales tax (HST) participating provinces (British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Ontario) will have HST added to their orders.

USA and other International customers are responsible for their own country/state sales taxes. They will not be added to your orders.

duties, brokerages for usa customers

Goods will be shipped duty free under the North American Free Trade Agreement, however customers are responsible for their own sales tax, if applicable. Brokerage charges may sometimes apply to orders over $200.

refunds and exchanges

Please contact me directly within 30 days of your date of purchase to discuss any issues with orders made through my shop. Depending on circumstances exchanges and refunds may be made.

privacy

We use personal information collected from you to fulfill orders that you have requested and to include your email on our newsletter mailing list. You are able to unsubscribe from the newsletter mailing list at any time. We do not share or sell your personal information to third parties.

custom orders

We are currently not taking on any custom orders at this time. Customization of our designs or products for individual purchase is also not available. Please see below for licensing inquiries.

licensing

Avril Loreti | Modern Home does offer design for license, or purchase of design for a flat rate. We also accept custom design requests for select projects. Please contact us to tell us more about the scope of your project. We look forward to collaborations of every kind.
